Although they’re not quite as epic as photos of tank man, I put up a few dozen pictures from my family trip to Trinidad. Ironically, I left on Indian Arrival Day. But I guess the theme of new history continues.

The photos are up on my new photo system. It’s entirely made from scratch using CSS and Javascript. No messy, heavy Flash and fiddling around with third-party software or clunky XML files anymore. (No offense to SimpleViewer, my old photo software, which was at least somewhat lightweight.) The entire system is Web-based. All I have to do is retouch the photos when necessary and upload—and soon I won’t even have to resize because I’ll be running Phatch, the batch photo processor, on my server once I figure out exactly how to do that.
