Two hurt in midtown stabbing

Todd Sloves and Andrew Garib, METRO New York | Link | PDF | MIDTOWN. Two businessmen were slashed in a Midtown office building yesterday after an altercation with a customer at around noon, police said.

One victim, a 35-year-old, was stabbed in and slashed across the chest, while the other, a 41-year-old, was slashed on the right hand. Both worked at N.S.S. Diamond Inc. on the sixth floor of 56 W. 45th St, where the incident took place. Pritam Sharma, 38, of West New York, New Jersey, was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody yesterday afternoon. An employee at a travel agency across from N.S.S. Diamond said she saw blood on the floor and another man walking out of the office with what looked to her like a broken nose.
